We want to share an update regarding the bond construction work that will soon begin across the district. In the coming weeks, you will begin to see the mobilizing of equipment and materials, the placement of temporary fencing, and clearly marked construction zones as Phase 1 projects get underway at Augusta Middle School, Lincoln Elementary, and Garfield Elementary.

At this time, construction will begin only on Phase 1 schools. Augusta High School and Ewalt Elementary, which are part of Phase 2, remain in the design phase. Work on those buildings is expected to begin in the spring of 2026.

Each school building has unique needs during construction. Your school principal will communicate any changes to parking, pick-up, drop-off, or other procedures specific to their campus. Please watch for these building-level updates so that arrival and dismissal continue to run safely and smoothly.

We are excited to mark the official start of this work with a ceremonial groundbreaking on Wednesday, December 3rd at 1:30 PM at Augusta Middle School. Families and community members are welcome to attend.

The website was recently updated to include Phase 1 and Phase 2 schools and timelines, as well as new renderings for Phase 1 buildings (Augusta Middle School, Lincoln Elementary, and Garfield Elementary). We encourage all community members to visit the site throughout the bond process to remain engaged with the exciting improvements taking place in our schools.
