Augusta USD 402 Breaks Ground on Phase 1 School Projects

Posted Date: 12/04/25 (11:15 AM)

Augusta USD 402 celebrated an exciting milestone yesterday with the groundbreaking of our Phase 1 projects at Augusta Middle School, Garfield Elementary, and Lincoln Elementary. This event marks the beginning of a new chapter in our district’s growth and reflects our ongoing commitment to providing modern, student-centered learning environments.

District and school leaders joined Board of Education members, staff, bond steering committee and students at the ceremony to recognize the collaborative effort that brought this moment to life. Each school was represented, underscoring the shared commitment across our district to support growth, innovation, and future-ready education.

These projects are made possible thanks to the bond approved by voters on May 6, 2025. The improvements will provide much-needed space and updated facilities to accommodate our growing student population, ensuring every student has the tools and environment needed to succeed.

We also want to extend a special thank you to SPT Architecture and Simpson Construction. Their expertise and leadership are guiding this important work and helping bring our vision to reality.

The district is grateful to our students, staff, families, and community members for their continued support. Together, we are building brighter futures for all students in Augusta USD 402.
