I have been on the Board of Education since August of 2009, and I feel that BOE members should do everything we can to support the district staff and teachers.
I have lived in Augusta and rural Augusta all my life, graduating from Bluestem High School in 1990. I attended Butler Community College for a time and then went into law enforcement, graduating from the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center in 1995. I worked as a safety officer for the Augusta Department of Safety and as School Resource Officer (SRO) for Augusta Public Schools for nine years.
Currently I am the Vice President of Operations of PK Safety Services, based out of Augusta. I am an avid outdoorsman and involved in several organizations dealing with conserving the Kansas outdoors and hunting heritage.
My wife Nicole and I have been married for 14 years, and we have two children. Emily is 12 and attends Augusta Middle School. Jake is 5 and will start kindergarten in Augusta next fall.
