From the Garfield Principal

Greetings from Garfield Elementary School, a 2006 NCLB Blue Ribbon School and a 2008 Panasonic National School Change Award-Winning School!

It is a privilege to serve as the principal of a school where all children learn at high levels and every person who enters our doors is a welcome part of the Garfield family school culture of learning! We are so excited to be "living" in our new home, provided by the supportive community of Augusta through the 2008 bond election. We have fond memories of the old Garfield building, and we are amazed at this new modern facility that will take us well into the 21st century!

Please know that my door is always open and my role is to see that the educational needs of Garfield students are met. Parents and students (both current and potential) can reach me by phone or by e-mail (direct link at left), and I would love to visit with you in person any time! Also, anyone who needs to contact one of our staff members can do so using our Staff List - simply click "Contact" to send an e-mail message. The staff member can then reply to the e-mail address you provide.
