The Augusta School District is located in Butler County, Kansas, less than 15 minutes straight east of Wichita, and has approx. 8,500 residents. We boast of many advantages of suburban living close to Wichita, but Augusta maintains the safe, small-town amenities that parents desire. Augusta’s central location, lake living, and many recreational activities make it an ideal location to live, shop, work, and receive a high-quality education!

A Note from Our Mayor

kristey.jpgAs a life-long Augustan and product of our great school system, I’m proud of what our city has to offer. Living in Augusta provides the advantage of proximity – life in a small town only minutes away from Wichita.

Our residents have access to state and nationally recognized schools, safe neighborhoods, beautiful parks, and organizations that provide vision, leadership, and progress for our community.

Augusta is a city in which a spirit of diversity, entrepreneurship, generosity, hard work, and respect are encouraged and embraced. Together, we are building a future that instills pride in our schools and entire community.

Thank you for your interest in Augusta and USD 402.

Kristey Williams,
Mayor
City of Augusta
