Mrs. Eileen Dreiling, Augusta Middle School principal, was named Middle School Principal of the Year by the Kansas Association of Secondary School Principals.

Mrs. Kim Christner, Garfield Elementary principal, is a National Distinguished Principal.
 
Mr Ron Turner, AMS 6th grade science teacher, was surprised in late August when he received the Golden Apple Award,sponsored by Davis-Moore, KAKE-TV, Papa John's, and Radio Disney. Representatives of the award's sponsors came into Mr. Turner's classroom, presented him the award, and gave a pizza party to his class. Click here to view the KAKE-TV video.
