Augusta Middle School is located at 1001 State Street, Augusta, KS.  It currently houses the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades.  Augusta made the switch from a Junior High (Grades: 7, 8, 9) to a Middle School (Grades: 6, 7, 8) at the start of the 1985-1986 school year.  The building was opened for use on August 17, 1995.  It has three floors with sixth grade core classes located on the third floor; the seventh grade core classes located on the second floor; and the eighth grade core classes located on the first floor.  Elective classes are located throughout the building on all three floors.
