The purpose of the Augusta Athletic Booster Club is to work with the Athletic Director and Coaching Staff in order to enhance student experiences in athletics. The goal of the Augusta Athletic Booster Club is to promote good sportsmanship as well as to create a positive image of our community at all sporting events.
Booster Club is primarily composed of parents who volunteer their time and efforts in providing support to students who participate in extracurricular activities.
As well as cooking out for home football games and selling Oriole apparel, Booster Club also shows support in other ways. Last season, Booster Club helped with the funding of State expenses for Volleyball, Wrestling, Girls Golf, Girls Basketball, Bowling and Cross Country.
Donations were make to Tennis, Football, FCA, Prom and the St. James Auction. Booster Club also makes sport buttons for the athletes, promoted a "Blackout Night" and purchased championships boards. Booster Club was very proud to award $500 scholarships to five of our students.
In an effort to continue with financial support, Booster Club has implemented an annual membership drive. The $10 annual fee will go towards the Armand Hillier Athletic Scholarship Fund. Unfortunately, we realize everyone cannot be involved with all Booster Club activities due to other commitments; however, your financial support can make a big difference. As a member, you may attend monthly meetings and become involved with booster club activites. To recognize your support, if you join before our printing deadline, your name will appear in the All Sports Program.
Meetings are currently being held in the Augusta High School Commons on a monthly basis. You are invited to join us at anytime. Date, time, and location of the meetings are subject to change.
